National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP)
Provides career services, training, youth services, housing, and financial assistance to eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFW) and their dependents who reside in Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
UMOS helps farmworkers and their dependents acquire the necessary skills to either stabilize their current employment or advance in their agricultural jobs. additionally, individuals may obtain employment in locally high-demand industries with the goal of gaining higher wages and year-round employment.
UMOS case managers works with eligible clients to assess what their strengths are currently, how they wish to develop professionally, where they can best get the vocational training, and then provide the financial support to ensure clients accomplish these goals.
